PropertyRoom.com has fully absorbed the dramatic increase in diesel fuel costs since we opened for business in 2000, but the continuing upward cost pressure makes it necessary to implement a fuel surcharge. We do not take this action lightly, but we must offset skyrocketing fuel prices in order to provide the service you have come to expect from us.

Effective August 4, 2008 we instituted a fuel surcharge that applies when PropertyRoom.com picks up goods from you and takes them to our processing center. The amount of this fuel surcharge depends on the price of diesel as outlined in the attached schedule. All fuel surcharge deductions will be shown as a separate line item on your monthly check summary in order to provide complete transparency.

To establish the fuel surcharge amount, Property Room.com will benchmark the average diesel retail prices as published online by the Energy Information Administration of the US Department of Energy and reset the fuel surcharge quarterly based on pricing from the prior quarter. Fuel surcharges, if any, will be deducted from your monthly net proceeds per the attached schedule.

Please note that this applies only to pickups that are performed by PropertyRoom.com employees via our trucks, or rental trucks. This does not apply to Pack & Ship clients.
